Small Business Server 2000 is the
flexible network solution designed to help small businesses, with up to 50
computers, get more done in less time. The integrated Small Business
Server helps you take advantage of the rapidly changing Internet, to
manage and grow customer relationships, and to enhance your company's
productivity.
Internet-Enable Your Business
Provide company-wide, shared Internet access that's fast and secure, with
Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000. Access
your network remotely from any device that's hooked up to the Internet,
using a secure virtual private network (VPN). And with Web services, you
can build, stage, and/or host your own Internet presence using Microsoft
FrontPage® 2000 and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0.
This gives customers all-hours access to your business. You can also
manage your employee Web access policy.
Manage and Grow Customer Relationships
Great communications tools help you keep in touch with current customers
through direct, personalized e-mail, and to reach new customers with
automated e-mail or fax mailings.
With flexible customer management capabilities, you can track customers
with a shared contact database using Microsoft Outlook® 2000 and
Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server public folders. You can also assign
individual e-mail aliases to employees for direct, personalized customer
communications. In addition, you are able to provide constant access to
information about your company, through your own Web site.
Enhance Company Productivity
Help users to easily share files, computer equipment, and business
applications on the secure, reliable Windows 2000 platform. With Small
Business Server 2000, your users are able to access important files and
e-mail anytime and from anywhere.
Connect people with knowledge. Use Exchange 2000 and Outlook 2000 to
streamline communications in sending and receiving e-mail and faxes,
scheduling meetings, and holding real-time Internet meetings from your
desktops.
Run your business more effectively with one, or many, of the thousands of
available line-of-business applications—compatible with Windows 2000
Server, Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000, and/or Exchange 2000. With Small
Business Server 2000, you can also develop database solutions that are
tailored to specific businesses.
Small Business Server saves your organization time and money. For example,
you'll spend less time on maintenance calls, control desktops with minimal
impact to individual employees, buy fewer modems, and lease fewer phone
lines.
